Looking back on my photos in my phone has helped me to pick a place to start.
I have put quite a few photos in this edition, as we all know, a picture speaks a thousand words.
January 2025 started with us being in a new address, still in Gladstone, school holidays and my eldest son being back at home for the UNI holidays. Then Tamworth Country Music Festival, which included a lovely time with family and friends.
February kind of flew by. Both kids back in school and we were preparing for a mini tour with our mates Josh Powell-Fussell and Max Powell. The shows were a great success, thanks to everyone and a huge shout out to John Logan Entertaiment who took care of the bookings, PA and Lighting. Legend!!
The above is Coutts Crossing Coronation Hall, NSW.
Pixie Jenkins - Surprise visit (Organised by Josh) He was fantastic!! This was set up and sound check. Our biggest fan getting in early.
CEX-Woolgoolga, NSW.
Macksville Ex-Services Club, NSW.
Coutts Crossing Coronation Hall, NSW.
After the show, we had dinner at the Pub with some of the locals. We had a ball!
Me, Naomi & Warwick Hedges, Coutts Crossing Coronation Hall, NSW. I went to high school with Naomi.
Jason and Renee Farr. I knew these guys from my gigging days on the Central Coast NSW and sang at their wedding. 25 Years Ago!!
I had my Birthday over this time and received some wonderful Birthday wishes, phone calls, messages and gifts. I heard from both my sons, which was something I wasn’t expecting as they are young and usually have Mum to remind them of things.
A trip to Woolgoolga beach. Just for a little stroll and to put our feet in the water. We were contemplating a swim, until we saw how the beach was littered with blue bottles and seaweed. Maybe next time.
My husband surprised me by giving me the “Bird” on the morning of my Birthday. What a sweet gift. He really is thoughtful.
I really am a very blessed individual to have so many things to be grateful for. Our trip home wasn’t rushed, and we stayed the night at one of our favourite motels at Childers and had a scrumptious breakfast at the “Insane Cafe”. Just perfect.
My quiet spot to sit at home. Now made more special with the gift my son gave me, a gerbera to brighten up the surroundings.
Other things I’m grateful for is my morning calls to my Mum in NSW and hearing about the family and what they are up to. Mum and Dads lovely Birthday card and the $50 they gave, when they don’t have much. I tell her every year, don’t send any $$. My Neice’s card and words and my little sister’s card bought tears to my eyes. Visiting the family and friends here in Gladdy too is something that brings me great joy.
Of course, it can’t all be sunshine and lollypops, but it does make things a whole lot easier when you have a “Captain Fantastic” to help out. A flat tyre on the Friday morning just gone.
One of my favourite things to do in the mornings is to sit with a coffee and have a chat with my husband.
I’ve almost exceeded my limit to post, so I’ll leave it here. Catch you all again soon with some new exciting information about the upcoming shows!
Thanks for reading and thank you all you new subscribers.
Don’t forget to smile xx
